HKAS' Accreditation Service and Its Role in Elevating Medical Laboratory Standards in Hong Kong

Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS) runs the Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (HOKLAS). This voluntary scheme allows laboratories, proficiency testing providers and reference material producers to perform objective testing and calibration, provision of proficiency testing, and production of reference materials that meets the HOKLAS criteria of competence.

Since 2004, the HOKLAS medical testing accreditation programme has helped medical laboratories proving their technical competence and obtaining recognition from clinicians, patients, and regulators. Medical laboratories applying for accreditation are assessed against the requirements of the international standard ISO 15189 and they must follow the rules set by HKAS for HOKLAS.

Join us for the talk to learn about how HKAS accreditation helps raising the standard of medical testing laboratories in Hong Kong.
